Big Start (G Blog 1)
When starting this idea, we had the end result mostly mapped out in our head but not the path that leads to it. With the amazing movement ideas, boss fights, and different endings we could call it a amazing vision. Unfortunately that's not how this will be at first when it comes to the very start of the creation because we still have to get the level ready, player working, enemies, main feature, side features and more! With that we had to divide and conquer!
With the mind set that we have to get cranking on work, we started to get a layout of the map so we had a general sense of the size we need to make everything. Then we proceeded to get a player asset that we can use as a reference for the scale along with some other assets that can be used for size. With these in tow, we can have a level based off the blueprint we planned out beforehand while also keeping in mind the scale. Our plan is to start getting simple movement in and to expectations before starting work on the advanced movement that is planned for what the game is adapted to.
